21km & 10.5km Course

Starting THIS YEAR ON THE BEACH in front of the Orewa surf club head south along the beach where you will be directed up and onto the millenium track in front of camping grounds to the end. South onto state hwy 17 over the bridge and east at end of bridge along estuary walkway up to the stairs. Right onto Rosario Cres to Bay Street then right onto Red Beach Road up to state hwy 17. Right down to the bridge under and up the other side. Head north over bridge and follow the millenium track behind Information Centre and Estuary Arts Centre (TOILETS) right to the very end (behind Council and Centrestage theatre) to Riverside Road. Left onto Riverside Road,(DRINK STATION OUTSIDE OREWA COLLEGE) and left into Maygrove drive and onto Lakeside Drive. Left at Denham Way. Left onto Hatton Road through two roundabouts (PLEASE BE AWARE HERE) onto Westhoe Road  to Centreway Road. Left at Centreway Road (DRINK STATION OUTSIDE OREWA NORTH PRIMARY) then right at Puriri Ave. Left onto State hwy 17 to the North bridge. Under the bridge east onto the beach.(TOILETS)   Along the beach to the Start/Finish line. (DRINK STATION CHANGING ROOMS & TOILETS) DO NOT CROSS THE ROAD ANYWHERE ON THE COURSE.

There will be marshalls out on the course to help direct you however it still remains your responsibility to prepare yourself and study the course route prior to the event.

Those doing the 21km you will do 2 laps. Run past the start/finish line towards the end of the beach and a marshal will direct you up a sandy path and  back onto the millenium track in front of the camping grounds. 10.5 km competitors will do just one lap. 

5km course

This year 5km competitors will stay on the beach and enjoy a lengthy trek from one end to the other before heading back to the finish line in front of the surf club.
