Our event is open to all ages and abilities, runners and walkers and Nordic walkers. 2010 saw just on 1200 competitors lining up on stunning Orewa Beach to compete in the 2nd Annual Orewa Beach Half Marathon with a new and very popular under 16's section and a Nordic Walking competition.
Taking in some of Red Beach, beautiful Orewa and a lengthy trek along stunning Orewa Beach we give you an interesting and ever changing fun course. 5km competitors will spend your efforts on the beach only heading south to the end then north to touch the other end before heading home to the finish line in front of the surf club.
FREE ENTRY CHALLENGE If you organise 10 or more people from your work, gym, club, group or other to enter the Half Marathon, 10.5km or 5km we will give YOU a T shirt and free entry. Postal entries only with cover letter and your T shirt size.

Open to Rodney Schools Only
The school with the most entries competing in the Copy Catz 5km beach run will win a $1000 sporting equipment voucher to spend. Postal entries only including a cover letter.

BECAUSE WE WANT TO KEEP ENTRY FEES DOWN OUR EVENT IS NOT TIMED. WE ASK THAT YOU EITHER WEAR A WATCH OR TAKE YOUR TIME OFF THE 8 AM START TIME.

Entries close 4.30pm online friday 15th April 2011 however late registrations on the saturday and race day will be accepted but will incur a $10.00 admin fee....A refund will NOT be given to those changing to another distance. Entry forms can be obtained from Rodney Engraving 25 Centreway Road Orewa where you can also enter with cash or cheque. Refunds will only be accepted before March 20th 2011 due to administration costs.
Race packs can be collected on Saturday 16th of April from the Orewa Surf Club between 2pm-5pm or alternatively on race morning from 6.30 am also from the Surf Club. Pre purchased Orewa Beach Half Marathon T's may only be collected at registration. Late registrations will not be aligable for race pack goodies.
Medals will be presented to all podium finishers male and female in all 3 distances including under 16's and Nordic walkers. Schools competition winner will also be presented with their voucher at prize giving time. Presentatons will take place at around 11.30 am.

BRING THE KIDS ALONG TO THE DRAWING STATION AND LET THEM GET CREATIVE BY MAKING A SIGN FOR THEIR FAVOURITE COMPETITOR. WE WILL SUPPLY PAPER, PENS, GLUE AND GLITTER.

Breakfast and Coffee and the bar will be open for those in need.
